Look back at the history, state street, BOA etc. They all want to stay just below the substantial holder threshold, they prefer to not have to disclose what they do, but occasional because of an event like Friday's rebalance they end up becoming a substantial holder and then immediately reverse course. It has nothing to do with pending news, it has everything to do with wanting to remain in the shadows so no one sees what they are doing.
They just sold enough to dip below the radar.
