If the shareholders who own <10,000 shares are worried about the ‘possibility of getting nothing’ or ‘need to supplement their income’, they have the choice of selling their shares.
Many do, and in most cases explains why they hold such a tiny parcel of shares in the first place, and are doomed to forever be poor.
But the upside is they can still have fun blaming others and continuously complaining.
