RRL has certainly performed worse, but its also a global phenomena in which increasing gold prices haven't been enough to overcome increasing costs and difficulty developing new resources etc.
You can kind of see in the past gold miners would do worse when prices went down and margins were crunched / debt become an issue... with the opposite occurring on the upside... until now.
