AZL had no problems getting BLM approval for its Phase 2 drilling, many years ago, because it didn't require the kind of review needed when more than 5 acres are affected. Max doesn't say how many holes it proposed for this Phase 2, but it doesn't seem to be many. Meanwhile, they are also working on brine projects. Their partners have somewhat better credentials than some guy who left Thacker Pass before it got started: "MAX Power is in a co-operative research and development agreement with the University of California Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) to develop state-of-the-art Direct Lithium Extraction technologies for brine resources"
