    Thanks cophot but I don’t have any opinion about government support of electric vehicles or hydrogen, and I’m not up to speed on those areas beyond enjoying the ride when my son drives me sometimes to breakfasts at local cafes in his Tesla.

    I think vanadium flow batteries are unlikely to be small ebough to compete with the lithium in the small battery market for a very long time.
    - And that’s despite that January 2024 news out of Dalian in China that researchers there had invented a smaller (and cheaper) vanadium flow battery stack;
    … “Boasting a higher power density of 130kW/m3, the new stack is smaller in volume, which results in the lower cost under the same power output conditions. By using this stack, a 20-foot container energy storage unit can be upgraded from 250 kW to 500 kW without greatly increasing the size of power units and the cost of system-supporting facilities..”.

    Despite that the photo shows a battery sitting on a pallet, they still seem to be looking at 20’ container size casings, just doubling the power?

    But who knows what’s in store?
