Perhaps you should stop speculating what Israel may or may not do, and probably won't, and consider what Hamas did to women and children in their carefully planned and executed attack on Israel on Oct 7, the very attack and slaughter and rape of civilians that provoked Israel into retaliation.

Did the Hamas leadership - a known terrorist organization - living safely away from the war zone not think that there was going to be a strong response?
