The well head will have chokes to control pressure as per normal. bop is only used when needed in an uncontrolled well. The well is always flowing back drilling fluids whilst drilling. Once the cement liner is complete above the resevoir the plug will be drilled out and the well head shut in and pressures tested. It is only in the case of the well head failure that the bop is used.
