Last time BGD raised, it was to accommodate the industry funds that wanted to take a position and they are very astute in the PM space.

It was also completed at a very small discount compared to peers who had to give away the farm to get capital.

There has been a rumour for a while, that some other Ultra HNWs have been looking at the BGD achievements and liking what they see. Wouldn't surprise me if Alex was approached, hard not to be noticed when you advance at a rapid pace of knots and keep adding hundreds of thousands of ozs at $14 Aud/oz.

Best time to raise is when you don't need it.

We have $4 million plus from gold sales coming, plus over a million++ more form the old tailings plus what was still in the kitty so wasn't like BGD was "cum raise"

Definitely has the smell of being approached by specialty funds/family office types which Alex has been working hard on promoting to over the last couple of years.

The even better part is that this is all happening in a backdrop of positivity for the Gold space as pricing is now being made in Shanghai (circa $2204 USD vs comex 2166) and will continue to drive the gold price higher as the "developed markets" finally wake up to what the "emerging markets" already know.

I was thinking the same thing, could be another group of institutions/money managers wanting in. Never seen a company with such clear goals, and they have consistently achieved each goal along the way. As some of the boomers on here say "back up the trucks!"
