Climate scientists are just what the name represents, they study the science, they are not the public face of their findings and predictions. That requires public figures to inform the masses , enter Al Gore for the older generations and Greta for the younger generations. Tim Flannery was not a climate scientist either, but he was the chief scientist in Australia who's job it was to send the message. The Climate Council was formed to promote the same message and educate people about the issue after Abbott sacked people who mentioned MMCC.
