M1 main bore was drilled to around 3900m, and didn’t hit the LA, so the Horst block may have been squashed down a bit when it lifted, remembering they got away with drilling this depth the first time while waiting for tools, you can understand why they thought they may get away with it a second time without the over pressure that killed any results from M2 main bore. They were still in the Upper Angwa at 3900m, take 400m off for the lift and the Upper Angwa was possibly pegged at around 3500m for M2, so they weren’t far out. It would/will be interesting to see a well drilled downdip from M1 main bore where they think they may have tagged an oil leg.

Will we actually tag a water contact in the Horst block with the 6 inch? If you add 400m to the 3900m of M1, we may be water free until 4300m, perhaps further. Looking forward to seeing this extended, waiting really sucks, whether it is late Q2 or early Q3, the first Quarter will be gone when the market reopens. Covering the same ground over and over and over during the lull has been a bit tedious.

Mk 2 st deepening is like drilling a new well Imo
I believe it has the potential to turn the sp around big time.
As you say 3718 to 4300 is almost 600m. We know that they were still in the gas leg when td.
Lower A could be 700+ m of over pressure gas reservoir.
A flow test from that could be biblical.
