My wife does all the spreadsheet work as she is really competant with excel but we include our brokerage with the purchase and sale price. I like what you do as it is a bit more simple. I like KISS...lol
I think your technique is easy enough for me to enter the trades as I make them.
It's also important to enter the trades as they are made, at the moment the bride enters them annually which seems a real pain for her.
