I don’t know the state of politics in Quebec but I think the voters would be a bit nervous about the government having too much exposure to lithium mining and downstream processing.
Perhaps the government is feeling the pressure of having too much exposure.
Having said that, I would think if they were going to withdraw from Moblan, the company that took over their 40% stake would be someone much bigger than WR1.
The only way I could see WR1 being able to take it on would be through a sweetheart deal from the Government of Quebec.
Something like what they did for Sayona and Piedmont at NAL.
