to start with Hamas onset themselves up as a welfare and religious organisation and morphed from not what it is today. supposedly Hamas did not like what they saw as increasing secularisation
so let’s get that into our heads. It was and remains a fundamentalist religious organisation that morphed into a political force
At the time Israel first backed Hamas it was a different creature and Israel was also seeking to lessen the influence of the PLO and later of the PLA
that might now seem like a terrible idea but it’s not an unusual tactic by any group.
but Hamas has morphed. It remains a terrorist organisation but gained political power and has been funded and supported by other states - notably Qatar and Iran
if you think that somehow the power, brazenness and finance for Hamas is the work of Israel you are beyond ill informed. Either wilfully so or stupidly so
iran has spent billions of dollars funding Hezbollah and Hamas. It has supplied weapons and training. If you think this is only a fight between Israel and Palestine you are deeply mistaken
while you sound off at Israel you may like to contemplate what destruction of Israel means.
because it will be the first step in the destruction of everything you actually hold dear. I suggest you read about the religious views and tolerance levels of the Iranian government and fundamentalist Muslim organisations.
there have not been as many Muslim refugees crossing into Europe because they are happy at home. They simply don’t want to be there

The religion doesn’t bother me. Nor the possibility of wearing a hijab despite the fact I find them unflattering. It is the intolerance, the oppression of women and the idea of sharia law.
