a few article floating around about teh chinese on share registers, shorting not only us but many US stocks, for the very same reason... trying to raise captial at such very low prices dilutes the a company into the the murky depths of nothingness.
a few quick search to find those project struggling to get off the ground, and if stuck wont' be competiting with china
think i posted about 3 years ago about china controlling the market price... thought i had got that wrong with those record prices.. but with slow uptake it became very easy fro them to short and sting those company like us.
