    It's a liability on the books - I don't imagine MEL can simply write it off.

    Boysy is incorrect in saying that Vali is a write off. Just because another project has been prioritised doesn't mean that Vali is a dud. V1 has performed very well and V2 and 3 have clear reasons for not matching expectations.
