I bought a primary residence three and a half years ago, and they didn’t like Afterpay then.
during the application for the loan, i had an Afterpay account which was on $0 while I held shares in APT closing in on 100k, yet some pencil pusher gave me strife for having a Afterpay account and still wanted it closed.
Was the stupidest thing ever, and it didn’t seem the banks knew how to handle Afterpay then. I had no way to prove I closed the account, they had no specific requirements for proof I had. Pay it off and delete the account and they take my word for it?
I took a screenshot of the balance in the app at $0 and just said it was closed.
