I agree Calmbefore storm. It is in a unique position IMO:

1. Production, at level that produces significant income and funds exploration. Many explorers have to capital raise.

2. A significant and growing exploration resource. It is, to say the least, impressive.

3. Imminent reviewing of that resource, in a way that seems likely to increase it.

4. A management team that is capable. They are not aggressive but nor do they spout nonsense.

5. An in demand product. In that regard:
- gold seems to be firmly above US$2,000.
- some of the gold sales are hedged, but others are not. Increased production will presumably be sold at spot.
- the exploration resource incudes substantial copper, the price of which is increasing per tonne. Alk is seen as a gold explorer and producer, but can easily been seen as possibly being a gold and copper producer in future.

6. Undervalued, in the view of analysts. It has real potential IMO to go from that very junior producer level (about $325 million net of cash, gold and equities on hand), to about $700m - $1 bill with an increase to about 90-100,000 ounces, and then with a further increase to the $2-3 billion range.

This all seems to be coming together imminently, ie sometime between now and the balance of this year. I have been in and out of Alk for about a decade and it is in the strongest position it has ever been and the SP still has over 40% upside to get to only its 52 week high of $.955. This could happen very swiftly.

I have been buying, both at the recent lows and even yesterday. Daily price fluctuations are not so relevant compared to the upside.
