Dave R, yes jailing people is inhumane, but we still do it to criminals.
People who try to subvert the system by flying over refugee camps where other people have been waiting for years to jump the queue because they have the money to do so is criminal.
It is also possible that the Fijian man's suicide could have been prevented, if those people on the other side of the world were not clogging up the system and we may have been more lenient on his case.
