The bottom line is that the TPM patch is effective at delivering oxycodeine to a therapuetic level.
Pain levels are subjective.
A certain level of concentration has reached blood plasma levels.
Somewhat greater levels need to be reached for theraputic levels for severe pain in a 7 day patch, but even oxycontin tablets may not reach that for very severe pain.
I really don't think that this patch main directive is to treat severe pain with a patch, but more to treat CHRONIC PAIN with a patch.
I will state that the majority of chronic pain is not bed riddling severe pain.
Mutli-billion dollars are spent on daily chronic pain. OXYpatch may soon grab a fair chunk of that market.
