Hi Sierra,
Good luck with the drizzle - hope it turns into something a little heavier.
I found the traffic a breeze in Perth when there in November and what I noticed most were your main arterial roads that have improved considerably since I was there before in 2016.
As for bores you need local knowledge to help with finding them - look for vegetation that is different to the rest and likes a wetter soil environment. We have a couple of spots like that where a bore could be drilled and some of our neighbours have done likewise but we are pretty much drought proof now - well I hope so!!! Probably soon find out as Australia is still the driest continent on the Planet and that's not going to change any time soon but it's still a great place to live from a climate perspective.
Although some of the 'Climate Crazies' might think otherwise!!
