colincj - my understanding is that this is a discussion forum, not just a forum for the airing of optimistic views (or straight out ramping) about stocks. I'm showing as a shareholder with a "none" sentiment, and that pretty much sums it up for me.
I can't see what I've written that suggests a positive or negative view about the SLR takeover of RED. For what it's worth, I actually think the whole will perform better in future than the sum of the parts would have. I think the real issue, though, is actually whether RED/SLR will outperform its peers in the mid-tier gold sector in the future. It's identifying and investing in the outperformers that'll provide us with market beating returns over the longer run.
I thought the question I raised above about RED's most recent cash generation level was reasonable. Lots of analysts and investors look at the FCF levels of the stocks they're invested/intending to invest in. The question generated Patron's response which hopefully will be shown to be accurate when AISC numbers are posted by RED.
