Agree with all you said bar the last bit. I sincerely hope, aided by a bit of subject matter expertise I have, that the filtration issue is the last bottleneck that stops AGY from achieving name plate BG Li CO3 production at low cost, and may come soon "imminent" . So once that's resolved, the Li can flow, so to speak. I hope to god that they do not need to go upstream and make significant process changes there to solve the filtration challenge.
I have learnt too, to my detriment, that there are two types of companies/stages to invest in: 1. The budding explorer - much easier to sell euphoria based on hope and great prospects without having to support it by hard operational numbers. The trick here, is to get out during that first wave without getting caught in the believe of what your shares (incl. dilution) will be worth (greed) when the company is a successful at scale producer selling into a favourable market.
2. When they are significantly enough de-risked and finance is in place that they can become this successful producer.
With AGY, not aided by promises based too much on hope than cold hearted assessment and being devil's advocate, I think de-risking will not take place until the 2kta plant works as expected and until this also shows a clear funding path.
Why today's price has gone down though on the back of this is beyond me.
