People can defend management with the old "drilling is hard" adage but I think when you are this far out of your 90% confidence interval the sorts of queries / complaints of many on here are reasonably justified. If you are within your confidence intervals then fair enough people can't really justify asking, they just need to be patient, but once you breach them then regular detailed updates seem entirely fair and reasonable. Maybe don't be so bullish on your stated timelines (which have historically almost always been substantially exceeded). Delays with no explanations rarely inspire confidence in management.
