Yep, got me a $250,000 Patek too. A knock-off $30 tribute Patek straight out of China (I'm doing a comparison test with my Swiss watches for amusement). In any case, out of the 7 ultra cheap Chinese knock-offs I acquired, ranging in price from $10 to $800, I'm often stunned by their workmanship and reliability for the price - notwithstanding that the $10 watch was crap and only lasted for two weeks. Who knew.
My point being that if the Chinese can reproduce something as intricate as a knock-off watch that mimics Swiss quality with a reasonable level of success for a small fraction of the Swiss price, then we shouldn't be so dismissive of Chinese EV quality and the disruption they are causing in the car industry.
