Hi Boy!
Just to let you know that I am not that silly. I do take some effort to find out more about the gold mine in BAU. I do have many friends living in Kuching, however not many of them know about this gold mine. Except a cousin of one of my friend used to work for the drilling company: Drillcorp Sdn Bhd who is doing all the drilling works for BEZ for many years. Drillcorp is doing lots of works through out South East Asia and yet they choose Kuching to set up their headquarter According to him, many local people who had some works with the mine thought that definitely there were more gold than declared easily double that amount! (Not scientifically proven).
Gold mining started in BAU in 1820s. On and off for many times until now. The Sarawak State Government takes a very keen interest in the gold mine industry and has declared to build a Museum to commemorate this 200 years of gold mining history.
BEZ will be ok, even Quantum gone broke.
