China and Australia started talking again decided to end the spat diplomatically.
Apart from that SunDrive has been supported by ARENA for a few years now to advance their copper connection technology. Apparently ARENA started a 30-30-30 program around 2021 supplying capital to try and achieve an ambitious target of someone making a panel offering 30% efficiency at a cost of 30cents a Watt by the year 2030.
If that gets achieved I'd expect an overseas company to buy them out or at the very least license the technology and undercut any Australian product. It's a favourite tactic of large companies to buy out the smaller competition.
