No need for a CR they have cash in hand.
It looks like trying to take advantage of the buoyant times and perhaps invite a takeover offer or JV partner to me.
There is real advantage in them getting into an ASX index basket, which requires a higher MC.
There are increasing articles about the majors overseas scouting.
Even at a multiple of 1 or 2 this would seem attractive IMO.
