Crux Karora Resources (TSX:KRR) - Westgold Merger Creates Gold Powerhouse (let me be clear, a lot of it is simply the KRR explaining how great the deal is.... which at times is a little grating... as a WGX holder, but as I am actually here for the long term, I view it as a good move.
They do sing the praise of the WGX MD). The KRR guys are careful about how they explain the sudden agreement with WGX after years of discussions (and clearly won't touch any reasons as to why they chose WGX over RMS).
I liked hearing that they have done all the studies for expanding Higgins to 2.6mtpa, with Mt Henry ore at 1.6g/t being the main driver, which would add approx 50k ounces p.a. That is a serious amount of growth that could be unlocked over the medium term (though I still wonder if the same ore could be processed at the PNR mill which is far closer).
Without doubt, KRR are getting a slightly better deal that WGX, yet... Beta Hunt is a beast and the merger co. will have a serious amount of prospective tenements to drill out over the next decade. I mean, they have discovered over 2.5m ounces not including the 500k ounces they have produced. That is an impressive outcome at any deposit.
