Varied over time but has exactly matched the ungeared ETF over the period
Performance of a short ungeared ASX ETF over 5 years ASX:BEAR
Not only is it the inverse of the ASX but by over 150% despite being ungeared.
Sorry the moral of the story geared ETFs aren't worth holding in the long term either long or short.
In addition to that shorting the market long term is just throwing money away.
