Lux, you'll be pleased to hear that Trump was not wrong when he suggested that bleach will kill SARS2. Just about anything will! Piss on it and it will curl up and die and cruel death. All living things require their proper environment to survive. A pool of bleach or a bath of piss will be very poisonous to it. The problem of course, is that drinking such remedies comes with its own set of health problems, not to mention that the pesky virus is an aerosol.

So designing an effective nasal spray is a bit of a no-brainer, though it will never be a magic bullet or displace an effective anti-viral (or vaccine) for several reasons.

The virus is so small that spraying is like trying to shoot a flea at a hundred yards with a sling shot. The comparartive distances are that real. But you will get a few fleas if the sling shot fires enough rounds, like a spray does. But never enough for ellimination. Other issues too.

But better than nothing and I'm sure it will find its place in the market too.
