This reaction is nothing new from our Jewish diaspora!
Bob Carr did a similar thing as Wong has, he was personally threatened, including the Labor party from our Jewish diaspora with withdrawal of funding etc.

In the end Gillard talked Carr into abstaining on a UN vote on Palestine.
