I've looked at the numbers, have you? One nation and UAP both didn't run candidates. That's 5.1 + 4.5% = 9.6% right wingers.
ALP didn't run a candidate. That's another 25% up for begs - being Cook, many of whom would only ever vote for a major party.
It was objectively a poor result for the libs.
