    That is understood by me, but it also depends whether it is synthetic graphite or spherical graphite. Even spherical graphite which comes from natural graphite requires a process to get it to PSG and then to have it coated for readiness for process into anode of batteries. Currently anodes of batteries are still using synthetic graphite, which is a different process - refer Post #:51768438.
    You didn't understand my comments - graphite is a lower cost component in batteries than lithium and the graph has a few holes in it too. Agree as long as NCA and NCM batteries remain dominant graphite in the anode is needed. Solid State Batteries don't need graphite, but see them more used in higher end markets anyway IMO. As per Post #:72921618

    I don't see investing in a graphite stock or a lithium stock as competition. But that is me. You seem to have a beef with lithium stocks per se.
