Well, that is very selective, using that form of yardstick or benchmark. Nothing of that nature was posted when the then CEO remunerated himself (as well as the Chairman and Board at the time) a bonus of about $800,000, unadjusted for inflation. On the contrary, the adulation from some members was quite nauseous. Even more recently when the immediate previous CEO's remuneration package included a very generous incentive and bonus component, which I questioned at the time, then the customary cacophony unloaded (with the normal vitriol) along the lines - is essential for high quality performance, doesn't understand blah blah.
How is that notion working out for all parties?
