Thinking out loud in terms of timing, I wonder if WDS are just looking to get through next week's AGM, including the vote on their Climate Transition Action Plan. Goyder's letter to SHs made for interesting reading and suffice to say some eyebrows would be raised if they farmed into PEL 87 and then spruiked their dedication to climate change next Wednesday.
We have the WDS AGM on the 24th, which coincides with the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference from the 23rd-25th. Someone here (apologies) mentioned that PCL and WDS will be in attendance. This may be the case, but neither is sponsoring - I think there was some confusion there as WDS is sponsoring the Africa Energies Summit from May 14th-16th. Therefore, in terms of timing, I wonder if WDS will say / do what they need to over the coming week, then ann prior to the AES.
