Not so much a deal for mates, their thinking is probably a more efficient way to raise funds at a time when every penny counts (less disclosure & paperwork). I think the importance of staying streamlined likely outways the retail discontent that arises from missing out on a cap raise. So they'll ask for forgiveness, save on SPP costs and get on with it. Not exactly thrilled to be missing out but I bought on the open market at a discount so not all is lost.
