i've just had a look at event viewer

yesterday (before crash - i think)

2.32 yesterday IP address lease for network card with network address denied by server
2.32 Norton security failed to start - system cannot find specified path
2.34 HP Cue device discovery service hung on starting
2.34 the following boot start or system start drivers failed to load SRTSP SRTSPX

this morning

7.54 the previous shutdown at 2.42 was unexpected

i don't even use Norton
