You know, even though it’s a completely different sector obviously, this reminds me of another HC penny darling, BRN. I was invested there once, rode the rollercoaster all the way up, and fortunately still managed to sell out at an ok profit when it was falling. I’m sure others here may have been (or are) involved with BRN too.
You had a huge SP increase on hype and promise, a massive fall even though it appeared things were progressing fundamentally, everyone was saying it was just manipulated but the boom was coming. Talk of massive potential markets, world-changing product/technology, just needed a big player to get on board which they obviously would….
There was dissatisfaction with management communication but the lack of commercialisation was always rationalised away by numerous NDAs etc, deals in the pipeline they couldn’t comment on…,meanwhile there were multiple capital raises while SP kept dropping. They even had their own resident star pumper FactFinder who posted regularly in the same vein as TB here….
Anyway I don’t know what is happening over there these days - looks like things may have recovered slightly. Just interesting to me to see the parallels….maybe that’s the natural cycle of spec companies on the ASX and HC HC 99% of the time…maybe it says more about me and the type of companies I’m drawn to…just some musings for a Friday with no point…
