BMD, Percheron (PER) did some studies a while back regarding the effect of their drug ATL1102 for DMD and said they got some favourable results. They indicated they might follow it up sometime later as they are busy with their DMD trials, which also seem to be going well. ATL1102 targets the CD49d protein, an integrin alpha 4 subunit that has been implicated in inflammatory conditions such as DMD and Multiple Sclerosis. In MS it was found to reduce lesions by around 50%.
It is an antisense drug that blocks the RNA strands from assembling the CD49d molecule by attaching to the RNA strands. Cheers.
