I spent a bit of time a few years back talking to a guy in fields find who spent 2 seasons digging a small costean. He said the secret to success in that area was to network with the locals. There is a lot of knowledge that has been lost as the old timers die out. If I was the geo I’d be talking to the locals. I’m heading out there for a week on Monday and if my neighbour is out there I’ll pick his brains.
