re: tidal wave not created by man-made bomb! no this was a natural event - the thing i am worried about is that big asteroid that now has a 34 to 1 chance of hitting earth - well with 10 standard nukes the USA could blow it to smithereenies - would prove the technology useful i guess ie asteroid interception and course changing or blowing it up.
400m long wouldnt take much for a deep space nuke to blow it up.
