I am also a bit curious why "jobs growth" is included the title of this committee. Could it be that these companies have been offered, possibly among other things, something in the line of subsidised employment?
After hearing that Windsor got $17m for a dam in his electorate three days before the election (when a hung parliament was very likely) and the threat of withholding funds to NSW unless labor's demands are met, nothing would surprise me if under the table deals are being done.
IMO, this has always been a "what ever it takes" government.
