I'm a long time holder and big Ioneer fan...curious to get people's thoughts on this though.
In the DEIS, the revised mine site takes up 21% of the critical habitat of Tiehms Buckwheat. This habitat has been approved recently to be a buffer zone from the plant to protect it as an endangered species.
In some places, the proposed quarry is just 44 feet from some of the actual subpopulations of the plant, well within the critical habitat barrier.
Is it a missed opportunity, or a risk, to not bring the impacted critical habitat in to under 5-10%, and having a bit bigger buffer than 44 feet from where we are mining?
(Noting of course there is substantial benefit to Tiehms future to have Ioneer on board with the investment, research, fences protecting from animals etc)
