Science has shown that there is no such thing as certainty, but only supporting evidence.
Up to the end of the nineteenth century, scientists were convinced that Newton's laws of motion and theory of gravity were proven and set in concrete.
By 1915 these "laws" and theory of gravity were shown to contain flaws and even the replacements (Relativity) were shown to fail at the subatomic level.
Did people once have evidence that the earth is flat? If so this provides evidence for my point that there is no such thing as certainty; only evidence.
