This deal is pretty simple in my eyes - it’s a win/win/win.
- The local community wants to protect its fresh water supply.
- The local government wants to charge fairer royalties to dig its way out massive budget deficits
- Galan wants to build a mine.
Under this MoU:
- Galan builds its future carbonate plant off-salar (water issues all but solved)
- 7% royalty of the local government.
- Mining and export permits assured.
Sounds like an amazing deal to me. On to funding and production!
