So an overpass AND a diversion!
I was reading recently Alkane Gold in NSW had estimated $87m for works to divert 8.3km of Newell Highway (with no-overpass) plus some plant upgrades last year https://www.alkane.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/TGO_Road_alignment_DIGITAL.pdf. .. I don’t know if it’s done yet or how that budgeting has turned out.
But it gives an idea?
Obviously AVL’s plans don’t include sealing the road and - given the condition of the local one in the photos below - maybe there would be some government help, but still I wonder if there will be more detail, including estimated costings in the Wood summary that’s due before EOFY?
