They’ve said in the past that they supply leading jewellers directly. It appears markups in the supply chain are enormous. If they can circumvent some of the wholesalers, then there would be plenty of scope to improve margins. I have confidence in management’s knowledge of the Pearl market. I don’t think they would say they are going to diversify sales channels if it wasn’t possible. Discussions have probably already begun. And whenever there is money to be made, there will always be interest in forming new trading relationships. It’s just possible this will be a very positive development for the company’s future.
