Regulators & gov aren’t blameless here, regulators failed to execute their duties, gov broke deals
(I’m sure they were all shocked, horrified, amazed the nefarious tourists gov encouraged would exploit a casino)
They’ve had the time & ability to find a solution but seem more occupied by indulging their egos
Punish anyone who acted unlawfully, stop destroying investors capital, start supporting workers & tourism
Pretty simple job guys. Appoint appropriate management team & an adequate independent compliance office & get out of the way
Any fines should only apply to unlawful actors with already destroyed shareholder capital being more than a sufficient public sacrifice
