Gyro - what i find sort of interesting, is if the Oz govt made any sort of statement it'd be bandied from pillar to post as "living proof" of the racist sort of country/govt we have here/

Mahatir says it - its OK

And there hasnt been a single reply from the side of the arguement that went along the lines that by wishing or talking about the notion to limit the immigration into Austrlai was a racist comment.

From those advocates, what would you say to an Aussie that has to live in the region with such a mind set in play. And from a country the size of Malaysia? As if that isnt the shared mindet of all those ASEAN countries?

Just move on and get over it??

Honestly. Look at the record of Australia vs ANY of those countries and say who are the more xenophobic societies with the greater innate racial prejudice?

I'd back Australia against any of them by a country mile.

Finally, that white Anglo-saxon, European-based peoples with that heritage take a momeny to pause and evaluate where immigration is and can go is not a racist view.

Its called survival. I think Darwin had a name for it.
