BOPs are usually the last line of defence against a runaway well…..
Edmonton in Canada was an eye opener….
Deepwater Horizon blew up whilst I was there…
Among other things the annulus ring failed, the BOP failed.
The rest is history.
Not a comparison with DD2, just a comment.
